Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a team in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. In this role, you will handle high-volume accounting tasks with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, digital environment and is ready to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing industry. Responsibilities: - Process a high volume of invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Manage accounts receivable tasks, including billing functions and account reconciliation. - Utilize accounting software to streamline daily operations. - Apply strong attention to detail to maintain precise financial records and coding of invoices. - Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth accounting workflows. - Employ keyboard shortcuts and digital tools to enhance efficiency and productivity. - Use Microsoft Excel for formulas and data analysis related to financial transactions. - Maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders. - Manage deadlines effectively while working in a fast-paced, paperless environment. - Perform bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles. - Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP ERP, Oracle, or J.D. Edwards. - Strong typing skills with a minimum of 12,000 keystrokes per hour. - Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a paperless and digital environment. - Solid understanding of accounting principles and transactional-level operations. - Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. - Clear and precise communication skills for effective collaboration.
