CARBONATED JOB DESCRIPTION: ANIMATOR (CONTRACT)

We're excited to be working on our dream game, MadWorld, a revolutionary real-time global PvP battler blending web2 and web3 gameplay (think The Division meets Eve Online, with a few twists) as well as a few other secret projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• You must be proficient at animation and demonstrate a sense of weight, timing, secondary motion and personality
• You would be creating animations & improve existing animations for in game player characters
• Have experience working with motion capture animation as well as making animation from scratch
• Be able to animate realistic human motion that includes various melee and firearm attacks and fight sequences
• Help come up with creative animations and movements
• Maya experience is preferred but we would consider someone with experience in other 3d packages as well

WHO YOU ARE

• 3+ years as an animator
• Demonstrably solid animation skills showing a good sense of weight, timing, secondary motion and personality
• Show a technical proficiency in 3d animation
• You’ve created animations for a video game engine showing proficiency in looping, matching keyframes and ik/fk
• Be a strong team player with good communication skills
• Participate and communicate in meetings for reviewing and planning
• Work directly with the Lead Artist and communicate well
• Accept reviews of the characters and make required changes
• Self motivated
• Work within required deadlines

BONUS POINTS

• Mel/python scripting
• Rigging in Maya
• Video Game experience
• Fine Art Background (BFA)
• Proficient in Maya (Other program experience will be considered)
• Any other character or Maya skills you may have would be beneficial to the job
• Experience working on a small, fast-paced team
• Participation in open-source blockchain initiatives is a huge plus
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development
• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and go above and beyond to create something truly special
• A sense of humor (we love dad jokes!)
